Job Description
Join XPO Logistics as a skilled Tractor Trailer Operator, responsible for regional route deliveries in the Seattle area. This vital role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all traffic laws and company regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations for regional deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Handle freight as required, including loading and unloading assistance.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move freight up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with regional route driving in the Pacific Northwest.
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement.
- Tanker endorsement.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
