Job Description
Are you passionate about user experience, interface design, and the intricate details that make a game truly engaging? Riot Games is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic UI/UX Playtester to join our team in Norwich. This role is a unique opportunity to directly influence the quality and usability of our game interfaces, contributing to an intuitive and immersive player experience. As a UI/UX Playtester, you will be on the front lines, providing critical feedback on early-stage features, menu navigation, visual feedback, and overall usability. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing of UI elements, menus, and user flows across various game features.
- Identify, document, and clearly communicate bugs, usability issues, and design inconsistencies.
- Provide constructive feedback on UI/UX design choices, suggesting improvements for clarity, responsiveness, and aesthetic appeal.
- Participate in focused playtests, usability studies, and design reviews.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure a cohesive and high-quality player experience.
- Maintain accurate test records and contribute to the evolution of testing methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in UI/UX design.
Required Skills
- Excellent observational skills and an exceptional eye for detail, particularly in visual design and user interactions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate feedback clearly and concisely.
- A deep passion for video games and a solid understanding of current gaming UI/UX trends.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and input devices.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles (e.g., consistency, feedback, learnability).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in quality assurance, game testing, or user experience evaluation.
- Knowledge of common bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Experience with different game genres and platforms.
- Portfolio demonstrating an interest or personal projects related to UI/UX design.
- Degree or certification in Human-Computer Interaction, Game Design, or a related field.
