Job Description

We are seeking passionate and skilled Virtual Music Tutors to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote, part-time position where you will provide personalized music instruction and support to students of all levels via text and video. If you have a strong background in music, excellent communication skills, and a desire to help students unlock their musical potential, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, personalized music tutoring to students primarily through our online platform's text and video features.
  • Explain complex musical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Assist students with instrument technique, music theory, composition, sight-reading, and other related topics.
  • Offer constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their musical skills and understanding.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to meet student demand, managing your own availability on the platform.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with students, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Stay updated on best practices for online tutoring and music education.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in at least one major musical instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, violin, voice) or music theory.
  • Strong understanding of music fundamentals, including notation, rhythm, harmony, and ear training.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Reliable internet connection and experience with online communication tools (video conferencing, text chat).
  • High level of patience and empathy.
  • Demonstrated passion for music education and student success.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a music tutor or instructor (online or in-person).
  • Familiarity with various music genres and teaching methodologies.
  • Experience with digital audio workstations (DAWs) or music notation software.
  • Ability to teach multiple instruments or specialized music topics (e.g., jazz improvisation, orchestral conducting).
