Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to start your career in logistics and warehousing? Tesco is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Order Pickers in our Glasgow distribution centre. No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive, full training to ensure you have all the skills needed to succeed. This is a fantastic chance to become an integral part of our supply chain, ensuring our stores are stocked with the products our customers love. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately picking and packing customer orders from designated locations within the warehouse.
- Operating manual and electric pallet trucks (MHE) safely after receiving full training.
- Ensuring products are correctly labelled and stacked for onward dispatch.
- Performing quality checks on products to identify any damage or discrepancies.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move packages up to 20kg.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or retail environment is a plus, but not essential.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Forklift license or experience with MHE is advantageous, but full training will be provided.
