Job Description
Join Epsilon as a Part-Time Website Usability Tester and contribute to enhancing the digital experience for a variety of leading brands. This is a unique opportunity for students or individuals seeking flexible work, offering weekly pay and a chance to gain valuable experience in user experience (UX) research. You will be instrumental in identifying potential pain points and areas for improvement on websites and digital platforms, helping us to create more intuitive and user-friendly designs. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere. We provide all necessary training and support, making it an ideal role for those eager to learn and make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct usability tests on various websites and digital applications according to provided scenarios and instructions.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on user experience, functionality, and design.
- Identify and document usability issues, bugs, and areas of confusion for end-users.
- Record test sessions (audio and screen capture) using provided tools, explaining thoughts and actions aloud.
- Complete short questionnaires and surveys after each test session.
- Adhere to testing protocols and maintain confidentiality of client projects.
- Communicate any technical issues or questions promptly to the project lead.
Required Skills
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to articulate thoughts clearly and concisely.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet testing environment.
- Proficiency with basic computer functions and web browsing.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Comfortable with recording screen and audio during testing sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (any field).
- Prior experience with user testing or UX research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Lookback, etc.) is a plus, but not required.
- Basic understanding of website design principles or user experience concepts.
- Experience with different operating systems (Windows, macOS) and web browsers.
