Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Part-time Weekend Vegetable Sorter. This essential factory role involves inspecting, sorting, and packaging fresh vegetables to meet our high quality standards. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, playing a crucial part in our supply chain, ensuring that only the best produce is prepared for distribution. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Weekly pay ensures you’re compensated consistently for your valuable contributions.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully inspect fresh vegetables for quality, freshness, and defects.
- Sort vegetables by type, size, and grade according to company specifications.
- Remove any damaged, spoiled, or substandard produce.
- Package sorted vegetables into appropriate containers or crates.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all hygiene and safety standards.
- Operate basic sorting and packing machinery, if applicable, after proper training.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs consistently.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality discrepancies.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for weekend shifts.
- Basic communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and company policies.
