Job Description

Goodfood is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our gourmet meal kit assembly line in Red Deer. This is an immediate hire opportunity for dedicated team members who thrive in a fast-paced, chilled environment. You will be responsible for accurately portioning and packaging fresh ingredients, contributing directly to the creation of high-quality meal kits that delight our customers. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent entry-level role for those looking to start a career in food manufacturing and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately measure and portion fresh ingredients according to recipe specifications.
  • Assemble meal kits on a high-speed production line, ensuring correct items and quantities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation in a chilled production environment.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety and quality control standards (HACCP, GMP).
  • Operate basic food processing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform quality checks on ingredients and assembled kits.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking inventory as needed.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to a supervisor immediately.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work consistently in a chilled environment (temperatures ranging from 0-4°C).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg).
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of food safety principles (training provided).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a food production, warehouse, or assembly line setting.
  • Familiarity with HACCP or GMP standards.
  • Food Handler's Certificate.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment.
