Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical News Category Analyst to join our Digital Media Support team in North York. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately categorizing news content, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to the efficient delivery of information to our global client base. This position is crucial for maintaining the quality and relevance of our vast news archives and real-time feeds, supporting critical decision-making for our diverse user community. You will work within a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to classify a wide range of news topics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately categorize a high volume of news content according to established guidelines and taxonomies.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality and consistency of news categorization across various digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with editorial, product, and technical teams to refine categorization rules and improve content discoverability.
  • Identify emerging news trends and propose updates to content classification structures.
