Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Showroom Valeter to join our team at a busy dealership in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys ensuring vehicles are presented to the highest standards. This role is dealership-based, focusing on the preparation and maintenance of showroom vehicles, ensuring a clean and pristine environment for our customers. The work is primarily indoors, offering a comfortable and consistent working atmosphere. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, wash, and polish new and used vehicles to showroom standards, both internally and externally.
- Perform detailed cleaning of vehicle interiors, including vacuuming, dashboard cleaning, and window polishing.
- Apply protective waxes and polishes to vehicle exteriors to enhance appearance and durability.
- Inspect vehicles for imperfections and re-clean as necessary to meet stringent quality checks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the valeting bay and storage areas.
- Manage and maintain valeting equipment and supplies.
- Assist with moving vehicles safely within the dealership premises.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- A full, valid UK driving licence (manual transmission preferred).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a valeting or detailing role is a plus, but not essential.
- Knowledge of various cleaning products and techniques for vehicles.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
