Job Description
Are you a skilled and meticulous individual with a passion for precise installations and excellent customer service? Best Buy Canada is seeking a dedicated TV Wall Mount Installer to join our growing services team in Edmonton. This role involves professional installation of various TV wall mounts, ensuring secure, aesthetically pleasing, and functional setups for our valued customers. You will be an ambassador of Best Buy’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, requiring you to bring your own tools and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site assessment of customer's space to determine optimal TV wall mount placement and installation method.
- Safely and accurately install various types of TV wall mounts (fixed, tilt, full-motion) on different wall materials (drywall, plaster, brick, concrete).
- Route and manage cables for a clean and professional appearance.
- Connect and configure audio/visual components (soundbars, media players, etc.) as required.
- Test all installed equipment to ensure full functionality and customer satisfaction.
- Provide clear instructions to customers on how to operate their new setup.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring post-installation cleanup.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards during installations.
- Manage personal tools and equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained and in good working order.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in TV wall mount installation and general home electronics setup.
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools required for secure mounting.
- Strong understanding of construction materials and appropriate fastening techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items (e.g., large TVs) safely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification in electronics or AV installation.
- Experience with smart home integration and network setup.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing service role.
- Knowledge of various TV brands and audio/visual technologies.
