Job Description
Are you passionate about technology and helping others establish productive work environments? Insight Enterprises is seeking a dedicated WFH Office Setup Aide to join our remote support team. In this 100% remote role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our employees and clients have seamless, fully functional home office setups. You will coordinate equipment, provide technical guidance, and troubleshoot basic issues to optimize remote work experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for someone detail-oriented with a foundational understanding of IT and a desire to support a thriving remote workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the procurement, delivery, and setup of IT equipment (laptops, monitors, peripherals) for new and existing remote employees.
- Configure and test hardware and software to ensure proper functionality and network connectivity within home office environments.
- Provide basic technical assistance and troubleshooting for common home office IT issues, guiding users through setup processes and resolutions.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of remote work equipment and manage tracking through our asset management system.
- Develop and document standardized setup procedures, FAQs, and best practices for remote office environments.
- Collaborate with IT support teams to escalate complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Assist with onboarding new remote team members by ensuring their home office technology is ready on day one.
Required Skills
- Foundational knowledge of computer hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals) and common operating systems (Windows, macOS).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues independently and follow standard operating procedures.
- Proficiency in using common office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a 100% remote, autonomous environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an IT support, help desk, or technical assistance role.
- Familiarity with remote desktop support tools and asset management software.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, IT Fundamentals) are a plus.
- Experience in a customer service-oriented role.
