Job Description

Join our team as an Eco-Tourism Lodge Assistant in a truly unique remote setting. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about nature, hospitality, and sustainable tourism. You will be an integral part of our lodge operations, ensuring guests have an exceptional experience while maintaining the ecological integrity of our remote location. Full accommodation is provided on-site, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in this unparalleled environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with guest check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Support lodge operations including light housekeeping, kitchen assistance, and general maintenance.
  • Participate in guided eco-tours and activities, sharing knowledge of local flora, fauna, and conservation efforts.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and order in common areas and guest accommodations.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and assist with reordering as needed.
  • Contribute to sustainable practices, including waste management and energy conservation initiatives.
  • Ensure guest safety and compliance with all lodge policies and environmental regulations.

Required Skills

  • Passion for nature, eco-tourism, and outdoor activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a remote environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency for administrative tasks.
  • Physical stamina for varied tasks and outdoor activities.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's license (an asset for supply runs or emergencies).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or a remote lodge setting.
  • Knowledge of local ecology, wildlife, and conservation principles.
  • Proficiency in additional languages.
  • Experience with basic repairs or maintenance.
  • Wilderness First Aid certification.
