Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Hotel Porter to join our esteemed team in Colchester. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests receive a seamless and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. You will be responsible for assisting guests with their luggage, providing information, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the lobby and entrance areas. This role is crucial in upholding our high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assist with luggage handling.
- Escort guests to their rooms, providing information about hotel facilities and services.
- Assist guests with enquiries, providing directions and recommendations for local attractions.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming lobby and entrance area.
- Handle incoming and outgoing parcels and messages.
- Provide assistance to other departments as required, ensuring smooth hotel operations.
- Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.

- Ability to lift and carry luggage comfortably.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Previous experience in a similar guest service or hospitality role.
- Knowledge of the local area and attractions.
- First Aid certification.
