Job Description
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Stability Chemist, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and longevity of our innovative products. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and interpreting stability studies for various chemical products, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute stability studies for new and existing chemical products according to established protocols and regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH guidelines).
- Perform analytical testing on stability samples using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and dissolution, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Analyze and interpret stability data, identify trends, and provide timely reports to project teams and management.
- Manage stability chambers, ensuring proper maintenance, calibration, and monitoring of environmental conditions.
- Author and review stability protocols, reports, and relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Control, and Regulatory Affairs teams to support product development and submission activities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a stability testing laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or chemical industry.
- Proficiency in various analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and Karl Fischer titration.
- Strong understanding of cGMP/GLP regulations and ICH guidelines related to stability testing.
- Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and electronic data capture systems.
- Familiarity with statistical software for data trending and analysis.
- Prior experience in a government-contracted or highly regulated environment.
