Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Receptionist to join our dynamic team in New Port Richey. This pivotal role is the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, setting the tone for their experience. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, a warm and welcoming demeanor, and a strong commitment to service excellence. You will be responsible for managing the front desk, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the smooth flow of daily operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls professionally and efficiently, managing a multi-line phone system.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, manage patient flow, and update scheduling systems accurately.
  • Handle patient registration, verify insurance information, and collect co-payments.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Address patient questions and concerns with empathy and provide accurate information, escalating issues when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or reception role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using multi-line phone systems and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and compassionately with diverse individuals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience within a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
