Job Description
Join ASDA as a Stock Controller and become an integral part of our dynamic supply chain team. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts.
- Monitor stock levels, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Process incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring proper documentation.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize stock flow.
- Utilize inventory management systems to track and report on stock performance.
- Identify potential stock issues and proactively work to resolve them.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for inventory processes.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, inventory systems).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- Physical capability to handle stock and move around the warehouse.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a stock control, warehouse, or retail environment.
- Experience with SAP or other inventory management software.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of supply chain principles.
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English.
