Job Description

Are you a customer service superstar looking for engaging weekend work? The Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown at City Creek is seeking a vibrant and organized Receptionist to join our team for weekend warrior shifts. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued guests, setting the tone for their stay with your warm welcome and efficient service. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner upon arrival and departure.
  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, including processing payments and issuing room keys.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, taking messages as needed.
  • Provide guests with accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required, including mail distribution and data entry.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday shifts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) like Opera.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
  • A genuine passion for providing outstanding guest service.
