The American Red Cross is seeking a dedicated and driven Blood Bank Donor Recruiter to join our life-saving mission in San Jose, CA. In this critical role, you will be on the front lines, connecting with diverse communities and individuals to inspire them to become blood donors. Your efforts will directly impact patients in need, providing a vital link in the chain of life. Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, approach, and engage potential blood donors through various outreach channels, including community events, corporate partnerships, and educational presentations.
• Develop and nurture relationships with community leaders, businesses, and organizations to schedule and promote successful blood donation drives.
• Effectively communicate the urgent need for blood and the impact of blood donation, addressing questions and overcoming potential donor hesitations.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly donor recruitment targets, contributing directly to the blood supply needed for local hospitals.
• Plan, organize, and execute donor recruitment strategies for assigned territories or specific donor drives.
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, recruitment activities, and community partnerships.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including collections staff and marketing, to ensure seamless donor experiences and effective campaign execution.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in sales, outreach, community engagement, or a related customer-facing role.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present persuasively and empathetically to diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently to manage a territory effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
• A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel within the assigned region (San Jose and surrounding areas).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, to support community events and blood drives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Experience working in the healthcare, non-profit, or blood banking sector.
• Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a significant plus given the diverse communities we serve.
• Familiarity with CRM software and donor management systems.
