Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our internal corporate support team in Pasco, Washington. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and security of our IT infrastructure, providing essential support to our corporate employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, network management, and problem-solving, with a passion for delivering excellent technical support. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks from hardware and software troubleshooting to server management and user support, playing a vital role in our day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line and second-line technical support to internal corporate users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux), applications, and other system software.
- Manage and monitor server performance, security, and data backups to ensure business continuity.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and other identity management systems.
- Perform routine system audits, patching, and updates to ensure compliance and security standards.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and manage equipment lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
- Respond to IT incidents and service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, Firewalls).
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair (desktops, laptops, printers).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, CCNA).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Experience with enterprise-level ticketing systems.
