Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with non-clinical tasks, including managing patient queues and organizing workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment according to company standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies, rotating stock as necessary.
- Process prescription orders by entering patient and medication information accurately into the system.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide basic information, escalating complex questions to the pharmacist.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and identifying expired medications.
- Operate cash register and process payments for prescriptions and other merchandise.
- Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Enrollment in or completion of a pharmacy technician training program (not required, but a plus).
