Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and energetic Weekend Dining Room Hand to join our dedicated team at The Riverwalk Bistro. This part-time role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation of our dining room, especially during busy weekend shifts. Your primary focus will be on cleanup and setup tasks, ensuring our guests always enjoy a pristine and inviting atmosphere. This position is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to earn tips as part of our front-of-house team.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dining tables, chairs, and other dining room surfaces diligently.
- Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware according to bistro standards.
- Assist with clearing dirty dishes, glasses, and utensils from tables and transporting them to the dishwashing area.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors by sweeping, mopping, and addressing spills promptly.
- Ensure all service areas, including side stations and server aisles, remain tidy and well-stocked.
- Assist waitstaff and bussers with various tasks to support efficient service flow.
- Handle trash and recycling disposal.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly throughout a shift.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Reliability and punctuality for weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Current Washington State Food Handler's Permit.
