Job Description
Are you passionate about pets and have a keen eye for detail? IDEXX Laboratories is seeking a dedicated Pet Photo Data Labeler to join our innovative Veterinary AI focus team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and annotating large datasets of pet-related images, contributing directly to the development and refinement of advanced AI models. Your work will enable our systems to accurately identify various conditions, breeds, and other attributes, directly impacting diagnostic accuracy and the future of veterinary medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a team pushing the boundaries of technology in animal healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately label and annotate pet images (e.g., radiographs, ultrasounds, clinical photos) according to strict guidelines and taxonomies.
- Categorize images based on pet species, breed, age, anatomical regions, and identified conditions or abnormalities.
- Collaborate closely with AI engineers and veterinary experts to understand labeling requirements and resolve ambiguities.
- Maintain high levels of data quality and consistency through diligent review and adherence to project specifications.
- Provide feedback on labeling tools and guidelines to improve efficiency and accuracy of the annotation process.
- Participate in training sessions to continuously enhance understanding of veterinary terminology and image interpretation.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Proficiency with computers and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Reliable and strong work ethic, with the ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks.
- Basic understanding of animal anatomy or strong interest in veterinary science.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., animal science, biology, data science).
- Previous experience in data labeling, image annotation, or data entry.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology or experience in a veterinary setting.
- Experience with image editing software or annotation tools.
