Job Description

Brighton Palace Pier is looking for enthusiastic and safety-conscious Theme Park Ride Attendants to join our dynamic team in Eastbourne. This role is crucial to ensuring our guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable visit by operating our rides, enforcing safety regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various amusement rides safely and efficiently, following all company procedures and safety protocols.
- Ensure the safety of all guests by monitoring riders, enforcing height and safety restrictions, and checking restraints.
- Assist guests with boarding and unboarding rides, providing clear instructions and a friendly demeanor.
- Perform daily pre-opening checks and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of ride areas and surrounding attractions.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering guest questions, and assisting with general enquiries.
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations, following established protocols.
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or guest-facing role.
- Experience in an amusement park, leisure, or entertainment setting.
- Basic First Aid certification.
