Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Online Google Transcription Assistant with a strong focus on medical and legal content. This 100% remote position requires exceptional listening skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and a deep understanding of specialized terminology to accurately transcribe audio and video files. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and quality of our transcription services for critical medical and legal documentation, utilizing Google-integrated tools and our proprietary platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe diverse audio and video files, with a primary emphasis on medical and legal content such as depositions, doctor's notes, medical reports, and court proceedings.
- Review and meticulously edit machine-generated transcripts for grammar, punctuation, clarity, and factual accuracy, ensuring adherence to client-specific style guides.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry standards for medical and legal transcription, including HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols.
- Manage transcription workload efficiently to consistently meet established deadlines and turnaround times.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality and security of all sensitive client and patient information.
- Effectively utilize Google transcription tools, Google Workspace applications (Docs, Drive), and other proprietary transcription software.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to provide feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of transcription processes and AI models.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in transcription, specifically within medical and/or legal domains.
- Exceptional listening skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Superior command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficiency in using transcription software and Google Workspace (Docs, Drive).
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently (minimum 60 WPM).
- Strong understanding of confidentiality protocols and ethical considerations for sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Medical Transcription (CMT) or Legal Transcription.
- Previous experience working in a 100% remote capacity.
- Familiarity with various audio/video formats and playback software.
- Experience with AI-powered transcription platforms and post-editing workflows.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Paralegal Studies, Healthcare Administration).
