Job Description

As a Remote Content Moderator, you will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content to ensure compliance with platform guidelines and policies. You will identify and action content that includes hate speech, misinformation, violence, or other prohibited material, contributing directly to a safer online environment. This role requires critical thinking, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to make sound judgments in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and moderate user-generated content, including text, images, and videos, against established community guidelines.
  • Accurately identify and categorize policy violations.
  • Take appropriate action on infringing content, which may include removal, warning, or escalation.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in content moderation tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving platform policies and guidelines.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives.
  • Handle sensitive and graphic content with professionalism and resilience.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus in a remote environment.
  • High level of empathy and understanding for diverse online communities.
  • Proficiency in using web browsers and various online tools.
