Job Description

Halfords Autocentres is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as a Mobile Car Valeter Trainee. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with little to no experience to learn the ropes of professional car valeting, operating on the go, and earning commission on every car you bring to showroom standard. Key Responsibilities
- Undergo comprehensive training to master professional car valeting techniques and product usage.
- Travel to various customer locations within the designated area (Chesterfield and surrounding Derbyshire).
- Perform exterior and interior valeting services, including washing, waxing, polishing, vacuuming, and interior detailing.
- Ensure all vehicles are cleaned to Halfords Autocentres' high standards.
- Manage your daily schedule efficiently to complete assigned valeting tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked company valeting van.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport and trust with clients.
- Identify and report any additional service opportunities to customers or the team leader.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
Required Skills
- Full UK driving license (minimum 1 year experience, with no more than 6 penalty points).
- A keen eye for detail and a desire for perfection.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills.
- Physical fitness to perform tasks such as bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with car cleaning or detailing (even personal experience is valued).
- Knowledge of car care products and techniques.
- A passion for cars and the automotive industry.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
