Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Music Warehouse Associate specializing in Instrument Shipping & Receiving to join our New Port Richey team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of musical instruments and related equipment within our distribution center. This involves everything from receiving new inventory, inspecting items for quality, organizing stock, to carefully packaging and shipping instruments to our stores and customers. Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments of musical instruments and equipment, verifying contents against purchase orders and inspecting for damage.
- Unload, unpack, and organize inventory within the warehouse using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare musical instruments for shipment, ensuring proper protective packaging.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to log inventory movements, track orders, and generate shipping labels.
- Perform quality checks on instruments before shipment, identifying any discrepancies or defects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if needed).
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and WMS use.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving role, especially with delicate or high-value items.
- Familiarity with musical instruments or audio equipment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
