Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Excel Reporting Specialist with a strong focus on Business Intelligence to join our dynamic remote team. This role is crucial for transforming complex data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making across various departments. The ideal candidate will be adept at utilizing advanced Excel functionalities, integrating data from multiple sources, and developing robust, scalable reports and dashboards. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with diverse teams and clients from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Excel-based reports, dashboards, and analytical models.
- Integrate data from various sources (e.g., SQL databases, data warehouses, APIs) into Excel for comprehensive reporting.
- Perform in-depth data analysis using Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, power query), statistical tools, and other BI capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports.
- Automate reporting processes using VBA macros and other tools to improve efficiency.
- Present findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.
- Continuously seek to improve reporting methodologies and tools, staying current with best practices in data analytics and business intelligence.
Required Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and VBA for automation.
- Strong understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and data visualization principles.
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Certification in Microsoft Excel, data analytics, or business intelligence.
- Experience in a consulting environment.
