Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Remote Game Map Tester with a strong focus on navigation and GPS functionalities. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and realism of in-game maps, ensuring seamless player movement, object interaction, and mission navigation. This 100% remote position requires meticulous attention to detail, a keen eye for geographical inconsistencies, and an understanding of how players interact with digital environments. You will be responsible for identifying bugs, reporting issues, and suggesting improvements related to pathfinding, GPS systems, environmental collisions, and interactive map elements across various game titles.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans for in-game maps, focusing on navigation, pathfinding, and GPS systems.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies related to map geometry, collision detection, and player movement.
- Verify the accuracy of in-game GPS routes, markers, and directional cues.
- Test various vehicles and character movement across different terrains and environmental conditions.
- Collaborate closely with development teams (designers, engineers, artists) to communicate findings and propose solutions.
- Provide constructive feedback on map design, layout, and overall usability from a player perspective.
- Adhere to established testing methodologies and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.
- Stay updated with the latest gaming trends and mapping technologies.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with various gaming genres and platforms.
