Job Description

Join Ubisoft as a Game Tester and be at the forefront of quality assurance for our upcoming titles. You will play a crucial role in identifying bugs, inconsistencies, and potential improvements, ensuring our games meet the highest standards of quality before they reach our players. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and test cases with precision, documenting all findings accurately.
  • Identify, isolate, and document software defects (bugs) using internal bug tracking systems.
  • Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on game mechanics, balance, and user experience.
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure that resolved issues do not introduce new problems.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and other QA team members.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of game features, design documents, and project requirements.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to report progress and discuss issues.

Required Skills

  • Strong passion for video games across various genres and platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot subtle inconsistencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Basic proficiency with PC operating systems and general computer usage.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to identifying issues.
  • Patience and persistence in performing repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Familiarity with different game development stages and QA methodologies.
  • Experience in playing and critically analyzing various game genres.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Game Design, Computer Science) is a plus but not required.
