Job Description
Join Ubisoft as a Game Tester and be at the forefront of quality assurance for our upcoming titles. You will play a crucial role in identifying bugs, inconsistencies, and potential improvements, ensuring our games meet the highest standards of quality before they reach our players. Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases with precision, documenting all findings accurately.
- Identify, isolate, and document software defects (bugs) using internal bug tracking systems.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on game mechanics, balance, and user experience.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure that resolved issues do not introduce new problems.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, and other QA team members.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of game features, design documents, and project requirements.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to report progress and discuss issues.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games across various genres and platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot subtle inconsistencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic proficiency with PC operating systems and general computer usage.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to identifying issues.
- Patience and persistence in performing repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Familiarity with different game development stages and QA methodologies.
- Experience in playing and critically analyzing various game genres.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Game Design, Computer Science) is a plus but not required.
