Job Description

This is an entry-level position designed for individuals with no prior experience in a pharmacy setting. We provide comprehensive, hands-on training to equip you with the knowledge and skills required to become a certified Pharmacy Technician. Key Responsibilities
- Complete all required training modules and on-the-job training to learn pharmacy operations and procedures.
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy.
- Process patient information and prescriptions accurately into the pharmacy system.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient questions, and assisting with various pharmacy services.
- Handle cash register transactions and maintain proper cash accountability.
- Adhere to all legal and company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy practice and patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
- Prepare prescription labels and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
- Stock shelves and organize pharmaceutical products.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to learn and commitment to completing training programs
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience in any retail or healthcare setting
- Understanding of medical terminology (or willingness to learn)
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus
