Job Description
Are you a motivated 14-year-old with a passion for plants and a desire to learn? Costa Farms in Wesley Chapel is seeking enthusiastic Greenhouse Helpers to assist our team with essential plant care and watery tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity for young individuals to gain hands-on experience in a professional horticultural environment, learn about plant cultivation, and contribute to the beauty of our greenhouse operations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the watering of various plant species according to established schedules and techniques.
- Help with general plant care, including pruning, cleaning leaves, and identifying basic plant needs.
- Support greenhouse team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Potting and transplanting seedlings and young plants under supervision.
- Following safety guidelines and instructions from supervisors diligently.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and carefully.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Comfortable working in a warm and humid greenhouse environment.
- Ability to perform light physical tasks, including lifting small plant trays and standing for periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- A genuine interest in plants, gardening, or horticulture.
- Previous experience caring for plants (even at home is a plus!).
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
