Job Description
Are you a 16-year-old looking for a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience, earn money, and be part of a leading logistics team? Amazon Logistics in Chattanooga is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teen Delivery Driver Helpers to support our delivery operations. In this role, you will work alongside our experienced delivery drivers, assisting with package handling, organization, and ensuring smooth deliveries. No driver’s license is required for this position; you will not be operating a vehicle. This is a superb entry-level opportunity to build your resume, learn about the fast-paced world of logistics, and contribute to bringing smiles to our customers through timely and accurate deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading packages from delivery vehicles efficiently.
- Help organize packages effectively within the vehicle to optimize delivery routes and speed.
- Support drivers in navigating routes by accurately identifying addresses and delivery locations.
- Deliver packages safely and courteously to designated customer locations, following all protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment within the delivery vehicle.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and traffic regulations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with drivers and other team members.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions at delivery points.
Required Skills
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Possess a strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Be dependable and consistent in attendance and task completion.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and adapt to changing conditions and routes.
- Maintain a positive attitude and a proactive willingness to learn new tasks and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or team-oriented environment (e.g., school projects, volunteer work, part-time jobs).
- Familiarity with the Chattanooga geographical area is a plus.
- Developed problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
