Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apple Procurement Specialist to join our Business Support team in Didcot, Oxfordshire. This role is crucial for optimizing our procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services necessary for our business operations. You will play a vital role in supporting various departments, driving cost savings, and upholding Apple’s high standards of quality and ethical sourcing. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for assigned categories, from requisition to payment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and contracts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide effective solutions.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and innovative sourcing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Apple's procurement policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
- Monitor supplier performance, address issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Generate procurement reports and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
- Support the implementation of new procurement tools and systems.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing overall operational efficiency.
- Resolve any procurement-related issues and discrepancies efficiently and professionally.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of procurement best practices and legal considerations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working within a large multinational technology company.
- Familiarity with Apple's product ecosystem and internal business processes.
- Experience with e-procurement platforms and reverse auction tools.
