Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate UI/UX Researcher with a strong focus on user testing to join our innovative team. This is a fully remote position for candidates based anywhere in the UK. You will play a crucial role in understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations, transforming these insights into actionable recommendations that drive product design and development. Your primary responsibility will be designing, executing, and analyzing user testing sessions to uncover usability issues and validate design decisions across a range of digital products, potentially including those within the Apple ecosystem. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive user research studies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic studies.
- Plan, moderate, and analyze user testing sessions, both moderated and unmoderated, to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
- Translate complex research findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights and recommendations for product and design teams.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate research findings into the product development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain user personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts.
- Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and improve research methodologies and tools to ensure best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and research methodologies in UI/UX and user testing.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a UI/UX Researcher with a strong portfolio showcasing user testing expertise.
- Expertise in various user research methodologies, including moderated and unmoderated usability testing.
- Proficiency with user testing platforms (e.g., UserTesting.com, Maze, Lookback) and survey tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into compelling narratives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex research findings clearly.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Design, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with accessibility testing and inclusive design principles.
- Familiarity with 'Apple' ecosystem product research or similar high-fidelity consumer electronics.
- Experience working with remote collaboration and research tools.
- Ability to conduct basic statistical analysis for quantitative data.
