Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Banking Risk Annotator with a focus on smart working data practices to join our team in Stamford, CT. In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our risk management capabilities by accurately annotating and categorizing financial data, ensuring its readiness for advanced analytical models. Your work will directly support the development and refinement of AI/ML-driven risk assessment tools, contributing to more robust and predictive insights across our banking operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and a commitment to data integrity and precision. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, risk analysts, and technology teams to interpret complex financial information and translate it into structured data points.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately annotate and categorize large datasets of banking and financial information, including transaction records, customer interactions, and market data, to identify potential risk indicators.
  • Apply established guidelines and protocols for data annotation, ensuring consistency and high quality of labeled data.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and risk modelers to understand annotation requirements and contribute to the refinement of annotation standards.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on annotated data to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Identify and flag unusual patterns or anomalies in financial data that may indicate emerging risks.
  • Contribute to the documentation of annotation processes and best practices.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new risk typologies, financial regulations, and annotation tools.
  • Utilize smart working tools and methodologies to optimize annotation efficiency and throughput.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data annotation, data entry, financial operations, or a related analytical role within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, financial transactions, and basic risk concepts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with data entry and annotation software/tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
