Job Description
Join Goodstart Early Learning in Geelong as a Part-time Childcare Assistant with an Early Learning Focus. We are looking for passionate individuals eager to support children’s development and contribute to a vibrant learning environment. This role is ideal for those seeking flexible hours while making a significant impact on young lives. You will work alongside experienced educators, helping to implement engaging programs and ensure a safe, nurturing space for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead educators in planning and implementing age-appropriate early learning programs.
- Supervise children during play, learning activities, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Support children's individual needs, including feeding, toileting, and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment.
- Observe and document children's development and progress as required.
- Adhere to Goodstart's policies and procedures, including child protection guidelines.
Required Skills
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively working towards).
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (HLTAID003/HLTAID004).
- Demonstrated passion for working with children and supporting early learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a childcare setting.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Knowledge of local community resources for families.
