Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dedicated Route Driver to join our team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This is a full-time position offering consistent miles and no-touch freight, ensuring you spend more time driving and less time loading/unloading. You will be responsible for timely and safe delivery of goods along a fixed route, building strong relationships with our valued customers. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) along a dedicated route.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations, including DOT hours of service.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of freight, maintaining delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and submit all required paperwork promptly.
- Conduct oneself professionally and represent XPO Logistics with integrity.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum of 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with no-touch freight operations
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Experience driving a variety of commercial vehicles
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and customer service
