Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our commercial strategies for a premier hotel in Loughborough. This critical role involves driving revenue growth, enhancing market share, and elevating brand presence through strategic sales initiatives and innovative marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing plans, managing a high-performing team, and fostering strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth for the hotel.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Identify new business opportunities, cultivate key client relationships, and negotiate contracts to maximize profitability.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, PR, and local partnerships.
  • Manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and return on investment.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager and other department heads to align sales and marketing efforts with overall hotel objectives.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and future projections for executive review.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel sales and marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in the hospitality sector.
  • Strong understanding of the Loughborough/Leicestershire market or similar regional hotel markets.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales/marketing analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budget management and forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with a global hotel brand or luxury hotel segment.
  • Familiarity with various distribution channels and revenue management principles.
  • Multilingual abilities, particularly in languages relevant to international clientele.
