Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Entertainment Analyst specializing in Metadata & Keywords to join our Content Operations team. In this 100% remote role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the discoverability and user experience of our vast content library. You will be responsible for meticulously analyzing, creating, and refining metadata and keywords for films, series, and documentaries, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and optimal search performance across all platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of content categorization, SEO best practices, and a passion for entertainment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and apply precise metadata (genre, cast, crew, production details, etc.) to a diverse range of entertainment content.
- Develop and refine keyword strategies to improve content discoverability and search engine optimization within the Netflix platform.
- Ensure metadata consistency and adherence to established internal guidelines and industry standards.
- Collaborate with content teams, product managers, and engineers to identify metadata gaps and implement solutions.
- Conduct quality control checks on existing metadata and keywords, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
- Stay informed on industry trends, new content formats, and evolving metadata best practices.
- Contribute to the development of metadata tools and workflows to enhance efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in metadata management, content analysis, or a similar role within the entertainment or media industry.
- Strong understanding of metadata schemas and content categorization principles.
- Proven ability to analyze large datasets and apply logical frameworks.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) or similar database tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated passion for film, TV series, and entertainment content across various genres.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Systems, Media Studies, Film Production, or a related field.
- Experience with SEO principles and their application in content discoverability.
- Familiarity with international content and localization challenges for metadata.
- Understanding of user behavior and search patterns within streaming platforms.
