Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Federal Emergency Supply Coordinator to join our Disaster Logistics team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for orchestrating the procurement, warehousing, and distribution of critical supplies in response to national emergencies and disasters. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of supply chain principles, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure. You will be instrumental in ensuring that federal agencies and affected communities receive vital resources promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with federal agencies, suppliers, and logistics partners to identify, procure, and track emergency supplies.
  • Develop and implement detailed logistics plans for the rapid deployment and distribution of relief materials.
  • Manage inventory levels and warehousing operations for emergency stockpiles, ensuring optimal readiness.
  • Monitor global and national events to anticipate potential supply chain disruptions and prepare proactive solutions.
  • Liaise with transportation providers to secure appropriate shipping methods and routes for urgent deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of all supply chain activities, including procurement, transit, and distribution.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on supply chain performance, challenges, and successes for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in emergency drills and training exercises to enhance response capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal regulations and internal company policies regarding emergency logistics.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or emergency management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex logistics operations under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Understanding of federal procurement processes and emergency response frameworks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with disaster relief or humanitarian logistics.
  • Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
  • Familiarity with national emergency response plans and protocols.
