Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and energetic individuals to join our team as High Volume Order Pickers in our state-of-the-art Coventry Fulfillment Center. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for efficiently picking customer orders using handheld scanning devices and preparing them for shipment. Success in this role is often rewarded with performance-based bonuses, recognizing your dedication and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick customer orders using radio frequency (RF) scanners or voice pick systems.
- Navigate the warehouse efficiently to locate and retrieve items from designated storage areas.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of all picked orders before transfer to packing.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other equipment as needed (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity targets and meet deadlines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 kg regularly throughout a shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for using scanning devices.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience with RF scanning equipment or voice picking systems.
- Familiarity with inventory management processes.
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
