Job Description

Join our dedicated team at The Midland Hotel, Bradford, where tradition meets luxury. We are seeking a personable and reliable Lift Attendant & Porter to uphold our legacy of impeccable service. This dual role is crucial for enhancing our guests’ stay, involving both the operation of our classic lifts and providing comprehensive porter services. You will be an ambassador for our hotel, ensuring every interaction is welcoming and efficient. This is a hands-on role perfect for individuals who appreciate historical elegance and have a passion for providing outstanding guest care in a bustling, high-end environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the hotel's traditional passenger lifts with professionalism and safety.
  • Assist guests with luggage upon arrival and departure, ensuring timely and careful handling.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, providing information about hotel facilities and services.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the lobby, entrance, and lift areas.
  • Provide courteous and attentive service to all guests, anticipating their needs where possible.
  • Assist with the delivery of items to guest rooms (e.g., newspapers, amenities, room service trays).
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Support other hotel departments as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures.
