Job Description

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic Night Carer to join our dedicated team in St Albans. This entry-level position is perfect for someone new to care, offering comprehensive training and support to help you develop your skills. You will provide essential care and support to our residents during the night, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers premium night rates and opportunities for sleep-in shifts, providing excellent earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care to residents during night hours, adhering to individual care plans.
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and mobility, maintaining dignity and respect.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being throughout the night, reporting any changes or concerns to the senior carer or nurse.
- Respond promptly to call bells and provide assistance as needed.
- Support residents with comfort and emotional reassurance, especially those who may experience anxiety or confusion during the night.
- Assist with repositioning residents to prevent pressure sores.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
- Ensure a clean, tidy, and safe environment for residents.
- Work collaboratively with the night team to ensure smooth operation and continuity of care.
