Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced CDL-A Owner Operators to partner with XPO Logistics. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation using electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all XPO Logistics safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Manage all aspects of your truck and business, including maintenance and repairs.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
- Minimum of 60 months (5 years) verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and ELD compliance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Owner Operator
- Hazmat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- TWIC card
- Experience with various types of freight (e.g., dry van, reefer, flatbed)
