Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our esteemed team at Odessa Regional Clinical Hospital. This is a unique opportunity for skilled nurses looking to make a significant impact in a thriving healthcare environment. As a Pediatric Nurse, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to children from infancy through adolescence, working closely with their families and a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes. Your expertise and empathy will be crucial in supporting our young patients through their recovery and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients, including comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as prescribed by physicians, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, behaviors, and responses to interventions, reporting changes promptly.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, medication administration, and preventative care strategies in an age-appropriate and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment, promoting patient comfort and well-being.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
  • Act as an advocate for pediatric patients and their families, ensuring their rights and needs are met.

Required Skills

  • Valid nursing license/registration from your home country, with a commitment to obtain Ukrainian licensure upon arrival.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Pediatric Nurse in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with children and families.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced pediatric environment.
  • Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and patience when caring for children of all ages and their families.
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Specialized experience in areas such as Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), pediatric oncology, or emergency pediatrics.
  • Proficiency in Ukrainian or Russian language is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience working in a multicultural or international healthcare setting.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
