Job Description
Are you meticulously detail-oriented with a keen eye for financial accuracy and a passion for the gaming world? Electronic Arts is seeking a Remote Game Data Verifier to join our dynamic team. This critical role involves ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data generated from our diverse portfolio of games and digital services. You will be responsible for validating large datasets, reconciling discrepancies, and contributing to the financial health and transparency of our in-game economies and revenue streams. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive verification of financial data generated by various game titles and platforms.
- Reconcile discrepancies between internal tracking systems and external financial reports.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data inconsistencies related to in-game purchases, subscriptions, advertising revenue, and other financial metrics.
- Develop and maintain automated data validation scripts and tools where applicable.
- Collaborate with finance, engineering, and product teams to understand data flows and improve data quality.
- Prepare detailed reports and summaries of findings for management and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data verification processes and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data verification, financial analysis, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting basics, and data integrity concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience working with large datasets in a gaming, e-commerce, or digital entertainment context.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation and automation.
- Experience with financial reporting and auditing processes.
