Job Description
Join Target as a Secret Shopping Intern for a paid summer placement! This unique opportunity is designed for students eager to gain hands-on experience in market research, retail operations, and customer experience evaluation. As a Secret Shopping Intern, you will play a crucial role in assessing and enhancing the in-store experience at various Target locations within the Rialto area. You will conduct anonymous store visits, meticulously observing and documenting details related to customer service, store cleanliness, product availability, merchandising standards, and overall brand adherence. This internship provides invaluable insight into the retail industry and the critical role of customer feedback in driving business excellence. You will develop strong observational skills, learn effective reporting techniques, and contribute directly to improving guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct anonymous visits to assigned Target retail locations, acting as a regular customer.
- Observe and evaluate specific aspects of the in-store experience, including customer service interactions, store layout, cleanliness, product displays, and promotional execution.
- Document findings accurately and thoroughly using provided checklists and reporting tools.
- Complete detailed and objective reports within specified deadlines, highlighting both positive experiences and areas for improvement.
- Adhere strictly to project guidelines, ethical standards, and confidentiality agreements.
- Provide constructive feedback and insights based on observations to help enhance guest experience.
- Communicate effectively with the internship supervisor regarding project progress and any challenges encountered.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (all majors considered).

- Reliable transportation to visit various store locations within the Rialto area.
