Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Exhibition Setup Hand to join our national projects team. This role involves significant travel across Canada to various event locations, where you will be responsible for the assembly, setup, and dismantling of exhibition booths and displays. You will work as part of a skilled team to transform empty spaces into engaging event environments, ensuring all structures are built to specification and adhere to safety standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Travel nationally to various exhibition and event sites as required.
  • Safely load, unload, and transport exhibition materials and equipment.
  • Accurately assemble and dismantle exhibition booths, displays, and temporary structures according to blueprints and instructions.
  • Operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area during setup and teardown.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and site-specific regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Inspect materials and structures for quality and safety compliance.
  • Assist with other event-related tasks as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Skills

  • Ability to travel extensively across Canada for extended periods.
  • Proven physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long durations.
  • Basic knowledge and safe operation of hand and power tools.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic assembly instructions and blueprints.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by project schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in event setup, general labor, construction, or a related field.
  • Forklift operator certification.
  • Working at Heights training or certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
