Key Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program to learn venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
• Accurately identify patients and label specimens according to company protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for all patients.
• Process laboratory specimens, including preparing them for shipment and storage.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company policies, ensuring patient privacy and data security.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing patient records.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, embracing feedback and new techniques.
• Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-first approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for accurate specimen handling.
• Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and record management.
• Empathy and a professional demeanor when interacting with diverse patient populations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Reliable transportation to the work site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience in any field.
• Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare or medical diagnostics.
• CPR certification (can be obtained during training or within a specified timeframe).
