Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured training program to learn venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
- Accurately identify patients and label specimens according to company protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for all patients.
- Process laboratory specimens, including preparing them for shipment and storage.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company policies, ensuring patient privacy and data security.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing patient records.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, embracing feedback and new techniques.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for accurate specimen handling.
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and record management.
- Empathy and a professional demeanor when interacting with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Reliable transportation to the work site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience in any field.
- Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare or medical diagnostics.
- CPR certification (can be obtained during training or within a specified timeframe).
